About
I’m a software product guy. I’ve worked as a product manager and engineer in big and small companies, freelanced, started a company of my own, and launched dozens of products. I’m currently on a sabbatical, which means I’m exploring some new projects and ideas but also taking more time to focus on my family life. I do a bit of consulting work, especially in the area of technology for biomedical research.
I previously worked on:
- Verily Workbench, as it grew from idea into Verily’s leading business, including closely working with the All of Us Research Program
- Danger Fort Labs, a consultancy where I helped large and small companies get better at product discovery
- Happie, a company that aimed to make hiring more fun and efficient (as CTO)
- PatientsLikeMe, where I led the Open Research Exchange, a system for rapidly developing and testing Patient Reported Outcome Measures
- Smarterer, a popular skills testing offering where I was the first product manager
- I was a founder of NodeRabbit which became AppSembler.

When I’m not making software products, I’m usually spending time with my two kids, Clara and Aaron, and my wonderful wife Nicole. I enjoy home improvement, improv comedy, and cooking.
